Californians agree on far more than we’re led to believe.
PROBLEM
- We are constantly told to see each other as enemies: left vs. right, red vs. blue, race vs. race — even though most Californians want the same basic things.
- A small set of political and media incentives keeps attention locked on the few issues that divide us, while the many issues we agree on are ignored.
- When people are kept angry at each other, they stop asking who benefits — and real problems never get solved.
SOLUTION
- Refuse to play the division game and govern on what Californians actually agree on.
- Use mass communication to highlight common ground, not manufacture outrage.
- Call out wedge politics as a distraction from failed leadership.
- Unite people around shared values: responsibility, fairness, opportunity, and service to others.
